Teresa Markisohn Obituary
The final day of Teresa (Terry) Besenyei Markisohn's life was July 5th. Terry was born in Ellwood City, PA and lived in Wilmington, DE, Indianapolis, IN and Middletown, DE. A graduate of Robert Morris College and Butler University, her career was in health care management. Additionally, she worked as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Middletown Historical Society.
Terry's husband Gabriel died in 2005. She is survived by Jim (Nancy), Brad (Debbie), Kathy and Diane, grandchildren Jeremy (Ashley), Nicole (Brandon), Sara, Hannah and Jake, 2 great-grandchildren and her partner in life - Gene Hester.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, Terry requested donations be made to the Middletown Historical Society - 216 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709.

Terry Markisohn was a dear person to me for several years. We worked together and became good friends. I looked up to her and she was a great example of a woman of class and excellence. I began a search for her a few years ago and could not find anything. I searched today and found that my friend is gone from this earth. I wish I had been able to see her in recent years. She meant a lot to me. Enjoyed a lot of laughter and good times. I know that I am a few years late on my condolences but to her family, I know she is still sadly missed so I extend my sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers to you all. God bless you and Terry Markisohn will never be forgotten.

We grew up in Ellport with Terry & her sister. We all went to St. Joseph Church where our Mom played the organ. So very sorry for the loss of you Mother & Grandmother.

Terry was very special to us.
We loved being in her company and really enjoyed her sense of humor.
She was a wonderful cook and we especially loved Thanksgiving at her house, when she made her famous " Brown Bag" turkey and cranberry salad. Her wine choices were always impeccable.
What a wonderful person

Our Deepest condolences to Gene and family. Terry was a very special lady. Everyone loved her bubbly personality, especially the Springmill Tennis Players, the Dance Group and The Cancer Tai Chi Group. Terry was a bright ray of sunshine where ever she went and she will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
