Varilla Bowling Obituary
92, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born on February 14, 1925 to the late John Charles Hicks and Hannah (Johnson) Hicks.
Varilla will be lovingly remembered by her son, Charles Ray (Joanna) Bowling; daughters, Wilma Cooper, Pauline (Mike) Murray, Lois Anderson, and Karen (Chris) Stewart; sisters, Mary, Martha, and Nelly; brother, Norval; 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Varilla was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Bowling and grandson, Daniel Yancey, great granddaughter Amber Bowling and 8 siblings.
Visitataion will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. St. Rd. 135 and Olive Branch Road. Funeral will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Washington Park North Cemetery.
