Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Wednesday, 9 to 11 A.M., BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (So. of Grant Ave.) followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 A.M., St. Katherine of Siena Church. Int. William Penn Cemetery. Family prefers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, in his memory.

Many thanks to u Big Al, your deli was a second home for me and your children are part of my family. What you built allowed me to become a man from a boy, and had some of the best times of my life at Al's Corner Deli. The work ethic that you and your family demonstrated was instilled in me and I am instilling in my children. Your legacy will live on given the lives you have touched.
(I know I have apologized in the past but maybe one more time ... sorry for the keys that I broke off in the door)

Al taught his family to work hard and make a good honest living. Just another ordinary everyday customer that used to live in the neighborhood, moved away, and continued to return for the best food and family service ever! Al will be missed.
