REV. MSGR. ANTHONY W. "BRUD", age 86, on Oct. 9, 2016. Paster Emeritus of Maternity B.V.M. Church in the Bustleton section of Phila. Beloved son of the late Edward and Ellen (nee Love) McGuire, loving brother of Bridget Speck, Sr. Mary Carmel, SSJ, Edna Bennis and the late Mary Koch and the late Rev. William P. McGuire; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives, friends and clergy are invited to visitation Thursday evening 5:30 to 7 P.M. with Parish Mass beginning at 7 P.M. Maternity B.V.M. Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave. and also Friday morning from 9 to 11 A.M. with a concelebrated Funeral Mass with the Most Rev. Bishop Timothy Senior at 11 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family prefers donations to St. Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.

My condolences to the McGuire Family on the passing of our former Pastor of Maternity BVM Parish in Bustleton . The concelebrated Parish Mass and the Funeral Mass at BVM were both beautiful . May he rest in peace in the palm of God's hand .

It has been many decades since we saw each other. It was wnen you resided on Sidney Street and I on Boyer just above Mount Airy Avenue.I graduated HCS with your sister Mary with whom I was friendly Brud was a bit younger but we too were friends,We played sports together.
