"Arlene wants to be a Federwoman and teach us all chemistree-ee" (to the tune of stevie wonders superwoman) I loved her. esp when she wrote on the board with her left hand sporting her enormously blinding bling bling rock. I have a lab right now in my home because of the foundation she gave us! You were blessed to have her in your lives. My Condolences on your enormous loss.
She knew me as Sheryl Strothers GHS 220 and I am sure I was her favorite!

Dear Frank and children. Some teachers come and go; some change your life forever. Mrs. Federman believed in me (as her student) when my home life was dangerous and unpredictable. She was nurturing, reassuring, and instilled in all of us that we could become whatever we wanted to be - particularly in the sciences. Please know that her legacy lives on through her precious family and the thousands of young women's lives that she touched as their beloved Chemistry teacher.
