DEVLIN


CHARLES J. JR., a Philly kid from the streets of Fairmount, Chollie was a faithful son of Roman Catholic High. A Veteran of WWII, he was a bombardier in the Army Air Corps, who flew to liberate Europe on DDay.
After studying accounting at Spring Garden Institute, he founded Camden Tool and Supply Co., which became the work of a lifetime. A salesman's salesman, he turned hard work into success and success into a business for generations to come. Married for over 68 years to Mary Naples, he moved his family to South Jersey in the early 50's, where he and Mary raised 3 sons, who have given them 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a lot of fun summers at the Jersey Shore. Survived by his wife Mary (Naples); sons Charlie (Clare). Dennis (Aggie) and Tony (Ann Louise), grandchildren Catie (Nick), Tim, Patrick (Lauren), Dennis (Cyndi), Michalla and Tony, and great grandchildren Hudson, Asher, Elena Rose, Nicholas and Stella. Also survived by a sister, Marie Coyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from St. Paul's RC Church of St. Brendan The Navigator Parish, 9910 3rd Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ where friends may call from 10 o'clock until the time of Mass. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Clear View School, 480 Albany Post Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10582.
