Colleen M. Maurer

Maurer Colleen M. (nee Masscotte) Colleen M. Maurer (Masscotte) of Langhorne, PA passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. She was 77 years old. She was born at St Mary's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 1947 to the late John "Jake" and Margaret "Mag" Masscotte (Clendenning). Colleen was a Little Flower High School graduate and continued her friendships with many classmates throughout her adulthood, whom call themselves "The Little Blue Angels". She worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer for over 25 years, loving both the job and its people. She loved the water and the beach and most enjoyed her summers in Stone Harbor. She and her husband were members of the American Legion and in recent years, Colleen became an avid pickelball player. She also loved to travel with family and friends. Colleen is survived by her loving husband, Dennis L. Maurer; children, Bridget Bellomy and her husband Christopher of Brooksville, FL, Timothy Maurer of Langhorne, PA and Margaret Mary Weaver of Warminster, PA; sisters, Diane Metzger Dillinger and her husband David and Linda Gallion; grandsons, Ryan Siebe, Sean Siebe and Gavin Weaver. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 30th from 10:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. A luncheon will be held for immediate family and close friends at The Grey Stone Fine Food and Spirits, 552 Washington Crossing Road, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Colleen's name to The American Legion in Warminster, PA or The Capuchin Franciscan Friars. www.fluehr.com
