EDWARD DELANEY Obituary
DELANEYEd was the proud father of Suzanne Patterson (Gregg), James Delaney (Barbara), Debra Halpin (George), Steven Delaney (Debra) and Dr. Melissa Delaney (husband, Alexander Gochtovtt). He was greatly loved by his beautiful grandchildren: Paul, James and Jolie Rosst (Michael), Leah, Tyler, Hailey, Alyson, Sophie, Isabelle and Luc; and his two great-granddaughters, Lucy and Zoey. Ed was also survived by many nieces and nephews in Portland, Maine, his childhood home.
Ed was a Sergeant, combat veteran, USMC, during the Korean Conflict, participating in the amphibious landing at Inchon.
Ed's family wishes to thank everyone of the staff at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home who so lovingly cared for him during the last 10 months and to the many "Fallen Heroes" residing with him who rapidly became his brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday from 6 to 9 P.M. at the FLETCHER-NASEVICH FUNERAL HOME, 9529 Bustle-ton Ave., Phila. and Wednesday from 9 to 10 A.M. Funeral Mass Wed. 10:30 A.M. St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Rd. (at Byberry Rd.). Int., with full military honors, Washington's Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory to Delaware Valley Veterans Home (Welfare Fund), 2701 Southampton Rd., Phila., PA 19154, would be appreciated.
