JAMES D., 60 years, on Oct. 5, 2007, of West Chester, formerly of Upper Darby. Beloved husband of Mary E. (nee McNichol); devoted father of Shamus M., Kathleen E. Moffitt, Shannon E.; dear son of the late John J. and Helen (nee Averill); dearest brother of Jack, Michael, Helen Guerin, Maryann, Susan, Dennis; loving grandfather of Erin and Bryn O'Connor, Leah Moffitt. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Thurs. 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. THE DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 1627 WEST CHESTER PIKE (COR. OF HILLTOP RD.), WESTTOWN-WEST CHESTER, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial 10 A.M., SS. Philip and James Church, 701 E. Lincoln Highway, Exton PA. Friends may call Wed. eve. 6 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

On behalf of the Ron Kazio family (Former Penn Oakes member and golf buddy who passed away on 8/22/06), we would like to extend our deepest condolences. I met Jimmy when he came to Crozer to visit my father during his illness. What a nice guy! I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Friends,
We weep with you over beloved Jim's having so suddenly slipped the surly bonds of earth. Everyone who loved him will have their own ranking of Jim's greatest virtues ranging from genuine compasssion, quick wit, and athletic prowess to countless other personal gifts we'll all miss beyond words. My most cherished memories are of his humorous and loving kindness. One of the most courageous people I've ever known, Jimmy O'Connor inspired others with his humor and laughter. He's a major hero of mine.
