Jon was always smiling, he had that really hearty laugh, made everybody feel loved, and he had a passion, for and loved Jesus
Lois and Jon Jr, remember our hike on the Appalachian Trail to bear rocks where we had orange burgers for lunch

My sincerest condolences go out to the Swenson family. As a teenager at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Fairmount, I remember Reverend Swenson as a caring and understanding person. He had a style in preaching that was appealing to all the members’ young and old not only in the church but in the community as well. I will never forget all the time spent working with Reverend Swenson repairing that old church and all the great times at Summer Camp. You made an impression on my life as a teenager that will stay with me for the rest of my life. May you Rest in Peace.

Rev Swenson helped me so much when I had been going through emotional struggles. He showed me the way to become healed through Our Lord Jesus Christ. He was truly a man of God and a good example for all who want to do the Will of God! We all know he is in Heaven with Jesus. God bless you Lois and I will pray for you and your family to have peace and comfort.

I was a teenager at Rev. Swenson's first church in Collingdale, PA in the mid-1960s. He was an inspiration and I was glad, after 45 years, to see him again at his retirement ceremony to tell him so. My condolences to Lois and his family on the loss of a loving family man and minister of the people.

From Fairmount Parish to Cornwell Heights to Bethlehem.....always a faithful witness to the Gospel. Ahead of his time in UMC in terms of contemporary music and worship style. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race." Well done good and faithful servant.
