Dear Mary Jane and Family,
I am Jennie Harris (McGettigan), we all went to Springfield together.
Joe and I went to grade school together too. I always liked Joe, he was friendly. When ever we passed each other in the hall at school he always had a big hello for me. I remember his pleasant face. I will be thinking of you and your family.

Mary Jane (& the rest of the Michiels family),

I am extend my sincere condolences.

As a former high school classmate, Joe's death at such a young age is a sudden reminder of how precious life really is.

Although, Joe and I weren't close friends, I will always remember how nice he was to me anytime we made contact from our high school days to the last time we spoke a few years ago. For that I will always remember him.

Mary Jane, I will always remember the day Joe showed up on my doorstep to install a railing in my house with Charlie P. I hadn't seen him in several years, since Orleans days. I opened the door, and he gave me that great big bear hug. Spun me around, and made me feel so great. It is one of my fondest memories. Your Joe always showed the greatest respect for people. He will be missed. Sincerely, Laurie Nadolny
