Joseph Vidas Obituary

VIDAS JOSEPH V. ``SPIKE', on Jan. 23, 2002, of Pennsauken N.J., formerly of Philadelphia PA, at the age of 81; beloved husband of Marie (nee Sankey), loving father of Mary Vidas Hazzouri, Joanne Sutton-Smith, Vincent Vidas, Donna Powell, Rita DeFelicis and the late Joseph V. Vidas Jr.; grandfather to Lauren, Gabrielle, Joseph, Colin, Luke, Cara, Mila, Vidas, Olivia and Madeline; also survived by brothers Urban and Vincent, his sister Alice, as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Joseph was the owner of Acme Piano Co., Philadelphia where he worked for almost 70 years. He proudly served as a Corporal in the 807th Division of the Army Air Force during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Sunday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. and again on Monday morning after 9 A.M. at St. Stephen's R.C. Church, 6306 Browning Road, Pennsauken N.J., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill N.J. Contributions in his name may be made to St. Patrick's Building Fund, 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury NJ 08096; or to St. Joseph's Pro Cathedral, 2907 Federal Street, Camden NJ 08105.
