KAREN BOWEN Obituary
KAREN L. (nee Class), on December 15, 2009 of Berlin, NJ. Age 53 years. Wife of John K. Bowen. Devoted mother of her precious sons Tyler and Shawn. Loving daughter of Mary E. Foote. Dear sister of Gregory (Donna) and Tom. Step sister of Andy Foote (Christine) Mike Foote (Karen). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Karen a State Program Manager and a 35 year employee at the Environmental Protection Agency died after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing Friday evening 6:00-9:00PM at the COSTANTINO FUNERAL HOME 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE BERLIN, NJ 08009. No Viewing Saturday morning. Karen, we will miss you. You were such a fine individual and mother. I know the past several months have been pretty rough on your family, especially Tyler and Shawn. Our loss is Heaven's gain. And a deep loss it is, felt by many. Karen, I cherish our friendship, especially your easy way. Even when you were angry, you were sweet. Remember all the talks about nonsense stuff? Mostly about hair! Oh boy, the hair. And how about those darned crickets in the basement? My eyes are filling as I type this. Since I retired two years ago, not one day went by that I didn't think of you and have you in my prayers. You fought a tough battle but always had a smile and time to listen to others. How I enjoyed our trips on PATCO. So many times we almost missed our stop because of the conversations we would get into. I will miss you, dear friend.

I was sadden to hear of Karen's passing. Karen worked for the Regional Administrator when I started at EPA. She always had a pleasant smile and willingly assisted you whenever needed. EPA has lost yet another family member. She will be deeply missed. My heartfelt sympathy to the family.

To my dear friend and coworker Karen "Queen",
For the 20+ years that we have been friends, I am so thankful for all the wonderful memories that we have shared. We worked, laughed, cryed, gossiped and shopped together, yes all the things that true friends enjoy. I will also miss the chinese food that we enjoyed 3-4 times a week :) You were a wonderful mother, sister, wife and coworker. Those boys are so lucky to have had you as their mother, they could not have had it any better. Karen I will miss you dearly, you were such a strong, independent, hardworking woman and friend.
