I regret that I am unable to attend the funeral Mass. But I will remember Mick at my own Mass that day. When my day comes I look forward to our class reunion, Prep '59. May Mick and all of our deceased classmates rest in peace.

The Howitz Family,
Mick was a great guy who was my classmate at St. Joseph's Prep and St. Joseph College. Mick and I were proud veterans of The U.S. Army. He ran The Howitz Bakery and attended ST. Joe College at the same time. He was a good student where he excelled in Math and Accounting. Mick worked in Finance with my Uncle Phil Shea at Hornblower Investment Company. He later was an executive with Glenmede Trust. Mick did well in life by dint of his intelligence, personality and a strong work ethic. Mick was a good guy who knew how to communicate and connect with people. We would celebrate after exams with a good lunch and a couple brews-Mick was regular guy with no pretense or arrogance. He was truly a Man For Others. I was honored and blessed to have known such a wonderful and decent Man. "May Michael" Mick" Howitz Rest In Eternal Peace.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. Mike was such a kind loving man. I remember working with Mike many many years and he was such a prankster and fun to work with.
He will be truly missed.
The angels took another fine person.
Love to the family.
