To the Merrick Family,
I was so saddened to hear about your great loss. The years just flew by so quickly. He was such a wonderful husband and father and such a good friend to all who knew him. He sure kept everyone laughing over the years. I have such fond memories of him while growing up. I always felt like part of your family whenever I was at your home (which was quite often -- ha ha.) Thank you for that and thank you for all the wonderful memories that I still cherish today.
He will be with you in your hearts forever, so talk to him whenever you're missing him or just having a bad day. I still talk to my dad. God Bless.
I love you all

To the Merrick family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss.
I'll never forget the first time I met Mr. Merrick. Carolyn and I had just started dating and she took me to Terry and Bob's engagement party. I was a little apprehensive about going because I figured I would hardly know anyone.
One of the first people I was introduced to at the party was Mr. Merrick. He instantly made feel comfortable and treated me like we knew each other for years. I could tell by his personality he was this way with everyone he met. He was a very nice guy and very funny.
I'm sure over time your fond memories of Mr. Merrick will ease your pain.
