Today I wanted to try and compile a list of all of Robert's blends. Rarely do I smoke others. One thing led to another and I'm reading this sad news.
The only connection I had with him was when I lit my pipe. I guess that will last until I,too, light it for the last time.
We shared the same initials>RCR.
May God bless his family and provide strength and guidance.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Bob's passing this morning. I knew him through the Christopher Morley Pipe Club and enjoyed his company at our meetings.

Always friendly, pleasant and engaging, he freely shared his knowledge with us all.

A great friend and true gentleman, I will miss him.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, who I will remember, along with Bob, in prayers.

Dear Runowski family

I am only now finding out this very sad news. Bob was a leading member of our pipe club Christopher Morley's, and it was fitting that his screen name on many pipe Internet forums was Morleysson.

I really regret that I only met Bob so recently when I joined Morley's several years ago, and he was a major reason why I made sure to adjust my travel plans to attend the meetings. Bob was always a wonderful source of knowledge, wisdom and humor, and I looked forward to spending very quality time at each Morley's meeting.

Curiously, though I am relatively local here in West Chester, I only now learned of this sad news from a cyberfriend in England. Bob was well known and very highly respected all over the world through these forums. Many of my friends looked forward to his invariably witty and informative posts. Bob was the architect of quite a few highly regarded tobacco blends, many with such memorable names as Purple Cow.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to all his family.

This is sad news...Bob was one of the few EPA personnel I professionally respected, liked and enjoyed working with...he's one of the last of an enlightened breed that knew how to balence the environment and economy and will be missed by all...My heartfelt condolences to his family who I always enjoyed hearing about. It's ironic that I've been thinking of calling him to catch up and have a few laughs.
God bless,
