Dear Anne,
What a beautiful picture of you and Sid! It is said that those who have left us aren´t anymore where they were, but are where we are. Sid, because he talked about WWII with me, has given me an insight in the personal costs he paid at such a young age and through life for liberating us! He will always be where I am! I loved him! Warm greetings from Eva Legene

I was one of Sid´s colleagues in the MSO and McGill, and besides having one of my favorite bassoon sounds, and a superbly insightful teacher, he was a brilliant natural wit - which frequently masked a deep sense of the goofyness of the world around him.
Would love to hear from any of his children.

My dad always said that if it hadn't been for the Curtis Institute, he'd still be stacking cans in his father's corner store. He became a fine bassoonist and teacher and I'd love to help others achieve that in his memory.

Sidney Rosenberg was my colleague at Indiana University, who I, like his students, was very fond of. Anne Rosenberg, I would very much like to contact you. My e-mail address is [email protected].

Mr. Rosenberg was my teacher at McGill University. He had a unique outlook on music and life and I am sad that I will not get to thank him in person for the wisdom and guidance that he so freely shared. Joelle Amar

I just heard about Sidney's passing. I studied with him at Indiana in the late 70's. I am so sorry. Sidney was one of my favorite teachers!! Pat Gunter
