Dear Devine Family:

I must repeat Jim Hoban's Chu-Vu-HUH - emphasis on the HUH! Thomas invented that in St. Louis and all the boys said it! To this day, we don't know what it means but we think of him when saying it!

We will miss Thomas; we were always pulling for him! I saw him in church a few weeks back at St. Louis, and it was SO nice to see him.

So sorry for this sudden loss of Thomas. Folks are saying wonderful things all over Facebook about him, and that would probably embarrass him, I'm sure.

Rest in peace, old friend.

I knew Thomas for only a few short years but he had such an impact on me. He was always kind and caring and looking out for me, I always referred to him as my little big brother because I was older but he was wiser in many ways. I live in Florida now and my sympathy to his family, friends, and loved ones...I will miss him and sad at the thought I'll never see him again or be able to thank him in person for how he helped me...

I always felt like Thomas was the perfect cross between Fonzie and the Pied Piper - always the coolest but never too cool for anyone. He could fill a room with just a smile. I have not seen Thomas for years, and then only briefly, but my heart is heavy. I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to the entire Devine family. Chu-vu-huh.
