THOMAS BAYES, age 101, of Warminster, formerly of Glen-side and Germantown. Loving husband of the late Eleanor (nee Willier). Tom served in U.S. Navy during WWII and was the officer on deck who navigated the USS Panamint into Japan for the formal surrender of their Ominato Naval Base in Sept. 1945. He is survived by 3 children, Judy, Nancy (Joe), and Tom; 5 grand-children and 14 great grand-children. Family and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday, 10 A.M., followed by his Funeral Service, 11 A.M., at Glenside United Church of Christ, 2160 Wharton Road, Glenside PA 19038. Int. Hillside Cem. A Memorial Service will also be held in the Chapel at Ann's Choice Retirement Community in Warminster, on February 26, at 11 A.M.
