THOMAS J., JR, age 78 formerly of Ardmore, PA, died on March 9, 2011, devoted husband of Joan M. Tobin (nee) DeBow, beloved father of Joan (John) Cattie, Joyce (David) Biggins, Jane (John) Leven and Thomas J. Tobin III, cherished grandfather of 8. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday, 10:00 A.M. at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 110 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA where friends may call from 8:30 - 10 A.M. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to the Tobin Family on Tom's death. During the time I worked with Tom, he encouraged and inspired me and gave me courage to try new things. He was a man of great faith in God. I am very saddened yet I know he is with his Savior, Jesus Christ, and I will see him again.

I also had the privilege to work with Tom for many years. He was wise, fair and honest and truly a mentor to me and many others at LF Driscoll. I will miss his sense of humor and his love of life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Tobin family.

I am honored to say that I worked for Tom for over 35 years and say that I have never met a more honorable person.
When Tom told you that you were wrong you usually were, but when you were right no one fought harder to assure tha you were treated fairly.
He had a quick wit that I always enjoyed. We have lost a truly GREAT friend.
Shirley and I are so sorry for Joan and the entire family.
