When she worked with Louise Mandrell she was our two-year-old son's favorite person in the world. They were inseparable. I still treasure watching them together. When I was taping a TV special in Hollywood, Val showed me around once night and I got to hear about the pilot for Dreams. Her smile lit up the room.

She was a good friend and lots of fun to work with. She sang a lot at work and we always talked about music. I think of her often and all the fun we had at her house after work. She always finds her way into my conversation with our mutual friend Marcia. Another year has gone by, faster than the one before.

I just came across this page and wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Valerie. I have been a big fan of hers since seeing her here in the UK on the TV series Dreams. I used to play 'This is the stuff that Dreams are made of' on a loop and still regularly watch the show (I saved my VHS tapes) She was a truly gifted performer with the voice of an Angel. I have started the You Tube channel 'Dreams TV Series' so that her work will always be available for future generations to enjoy.

I am so sad to hear this. Although I met Valerie so long ago when we were on AL Alberts Showcase together, I will never forget her. She
had a beautiful voice, one that I will always remember. We auditioned for the show on the same day and we're both selected to be showstoppers. I always felt a special connection to Val which is why I kept searching. I never expected to hear that she had passed. I have such fond memories. I am pleased to know that she had a wonderful life and left a beautiful legacy. You may find clips of her singing on YouTube listed under AL Alberts Showcase. A beautiful and wonderful soul. ........

Very sad news. I knew her when she starred on Dreams. My (at the time) girlfriend's father was the producer of the show and all the musical instruments used in the pilot episode belonged to me and my band and were loaned to the show. Later, after the pilot got picked up and when they were filming in the SF Valley at Hugh's Jr. High School I used to talk with her all the time on the set. She was the only real musician on the show and had a truly incredible voice. We had a lot in common as musicians. I have often thought about her throughout the years and wondered what became of her. I thought she had a very promising career in the music business as well as in TV and was glad to see her in an episode of the A-Team (as I recall). She was quite a talented actress as well. I'm so sorry and my best wishes go out to her loved ones. God Bless Her memory.

I was a childhood friend of Valerie from grade school through high school. We grew up on the same street in Philadelphia. I am truly dismayed by Valerie's passing. Even though many years have passed since we spoke, I feel a loss. That is a true testament to her personality.

I never met Valerie Stevenson in person, but I was a great admirer of hers. She was a beautiful and talented lady that I'm sure like a lot of others I had a crush on her. Forgive me if I'm being out of line there. Val was a lovely lady. I'm sorry that I never got to meet her.The heavens are blessed with another angel in Val. God bless always.

Knew her well when she worked with Louise, later visited with her in Los Angeles during Dreams. We have oodles of photos of her as she volunteered to babysit our son Rance when we were with Louise. I treasure those photos and the memories. What a beautiful woman she was. Kathy, Clint and I never stopped thinking about her or loving her.

Your warm smile and fabulous talent was a gift we all got to share and we thank God he gave us a chance to know you. I also have fond memories of the Opryland days and working on the technical side of things while you performed for our audiences. Look forward to hearing you sing again with the heavenly choir!

Valerie, you were always a special person and a great friend all through grade school. You would always help me do my homework and we would just hang out and have a great time, You liked to sing to me and it amazed me that you were never embarrassed.Your favorite songs to sing were Olivia Newton John songs. In the summer of 1973 we were boyfriend and girlfriend. What a special time it was. We went to the movies and saw American Graffiti, celebrated at the parade when the Philadelphia Flyer's won the Stanley cup that following spring. We both agreed that our favorite song was the locomotion by Grand funk and we walked to the Record spot on the avenue to buy the 45, both of us chipping in our change to come up with the dollar we needed. We played that record so many times I think we wore it out ! That was a very special time in my youth.
You were always so happy, kind and careing. I am grateful to have known you and spend those special times together as friends.
My deepest heart felt condolences and prayers go out to you and your family. May you rest in peace.God bless.

Valerie, you could light up a room with your beautiful smile!! Although I hadn't seen you for quite some time, we always had fun. We could finish each others sentences and always knew what the other was thinking!!! We shared the same birth date, although you always reminded me that I was a lot older!! Sam was the Light of your Life and gave you a reason to be. My Friend..Love and Peace on your next Journey..we'll meet again one day...
