My deepest sympathy to the Family of Dr. Lander. Words cannot express what I'm feeling. I just found out about his passing tonight. He was my "Norman Rockwell" Doctor. White coat, Bow tie and always a smile. We used to joke about sharing our birthday, he'd say I got a few years on ya. He will be greatly missed.

We just found out today,January 22 that a great doctor passed away. I was just getting ready to make my annual checkup appointment and feel that after seeing him for 45 years, it will be hard to find that "old school" care and consideration that Dr. Lander provided. So many will miss his humanity and sensible advice. Blessings to his family. Anne and Grenville Foote

Today January 19th I just found out of dr Landers's passing,my wife called up for an appointment only to fine the saddest of news. There's too many stories to tell about our beloved doctor but the one I like to share is that I knew dr lander served in the Korea conflict and would talk to him about his times while he served over there. He said he joined the navy to see the world only to fine himself in Korea freezing you know what off, I would laugh and then thanked him for his service. After that story I would salute him when I came into his office and say "hiya doing LT ". I am truly heartbroken that I only found out today because I would of like to been at his service to give him one last salute but I'll do it now with tears in my eyes.He was truly a special man that Our family truly will miss .Thank you Doctor Lander .

Dr. Lander was not only a great physician, but he was also a great teacher, mentor, and role model for many family physicians. His devotion to his patients, the Bryn Mawr Hospital, the Family Medicine Department, the medical staff, and to improving the quality of the practice of medicine through involvement in the medical community during a turbulent time was an inspiration to me and others. I will miss his kind, quiet, leadership and support. He was a good man who had a significant impact on the world which will continue through those who's lives he touched.

To the Lander Family: Your father was a great man. He cared for my grandmother, mother, all 9 of my mother's children and many of my nephews and nieces. He delivered many of my family members. A kind man who I remember making house calls to check in on my grandmother in the 1960s in Garrett Hill. He was one of the few doctors who did that. I even visited him when I got out of the Army in 1980 and we sat and spoke for 30 minutes at the end of the our work days. His memory lives on in my family. God bless him.

To The Lander Family,
It is with great sadness that we learned of Dr. Landers death. My husbands family were some of his first patients in Bryn Mawr. He took care of all their medical needs for over 55 years (and mine for 37). We trusted him and valued his skill and compassion.
We offer our condolances and prayers to you all at this time.
With Sympathy and God's Grace,

I may have been Doctor Lander's first patient. I am now 67 but when I was 4 or 5 and he was just out of the Navy, he was on call for our regular doctor. I had spiked a fever of 105+ and Dr. Lander stayed up all night at my bedside and to comfort my parents. He was my family doctor until age 21 when I moved away. My older brother, Brian stayed with him as an active patient and called this morning to let me know of his passing. He was truly a remarkable man and physician and will be missed by so many whose lives he touched.

My sincere condolences to the Lander family. I started seeing Dr. Lander in 1973 / 74. After moving to Lititz Pa. 20 years ago, I continued to make the trek for my every 60 day appointment. I was looking forward to seeing him tomorrow. I will greatly miss my Friend and Doctor.

I remember him well from BMH when I was a unit secretary there. He had endless energy and such a pleasant disposition - a pleasure to work with! The day was always "morning" to him and he never got older, just better. RIP.
