Since Jack's dad, Ted, and my dad, Bill, were boyhood friends from Whittemore (each graduating from Whittemore High School) and I was born and raised in Whittemore, I always had a fine relationship with Jack. Although I have lived in California for the past 47 years, I was able to catch up with Jack via phone calls, Facebook messages and lunches at Mr. Jack'ss in East Tawas through the years. Jack was certainly one of "the good guys" and I will greatly miss his friendship. RIP, my friend.

Jack was one of my favorite people, my mom always said I had to call him Mr. Jacques when he was in his suit ! It was kinda a running joke between him and my Mom? I was privileged to have become a friend of Jack when working at Tawas Flowers in the 70s always had great conversations with him! He was a great guy whom always had a smile on his face! He will be missed! Gary L.S. Clark
