Dear Aunt Alice, Dena & Rick, Nick and I were so sorry to hear about Uncle Bruce's passing. I've been away a long time but always remember how all of you were so much fun to be around and so nice. Alice and family, my deepest sympathies on your loss. Bruce was a wonderful boss, motivator and leader. I came to know him when Key bought my bank in Maine back in the early 80's. I remember him often, as I use the phrase he would frequently say, "Never count a day lost if you learn something new." I didn't know he had been ill. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bruce Hied me for my first job at Key Bank in 1975. I was right out of college and he knew my father from Peat Marwick and Mitchell. Bruce took a chance on me and for that I will always be grateful.

I heard this sad news through mutual "Key" friends who have kept in touch all these years. I remember our dinner in Charleston a few years back when we visited the area. He fought a hard and determined battle. He was a kind and compassionate man yet could stand firm and determined. May he rest in soft slumber and your memories keep you close in heart.

To Alice and the family and friends of Bruce Tofte,
I first met Bruce when we were members of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Area Chapter of the Jaycees in the mid-70's. Through Bruce I also met his effervescent wife, Alice, the ideal complement to her husband's laid back personality. What a perfect pairing!
Blessed with an affable nature and an enthusiastic embrace of all that life has to offer, Bruce was a pleasure to be around. Although now gone from our midst, he will remain an inspiration for all of us privileged to have known him. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of a good man.
