To the Carrabba family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Matt was an amazing guy. Although I didn't know Matt as well as I would have liked to, we did spend some time together two summers ago. My family, boyfriend, and I, always go to Hilton Head every summer and about two summers ago we visited Matt several times at Paulies. He is a great guy. He was so nice all the time and would always talk to us when we visited him. My boyfriend, Mike, loved Matt's truck and ended up buying his own truck this past summer. Matt will always be in our hearts and it is a known fact that every time we go to Paulies, he will be remembered. He will always be watching over your family, and the restaurant of course!

You always looked out for me, and always helped me with anything i needed help with. You were the most kind person i knew and will ever know. You were kind to everyone, and never had any enemies. I always looked up to you, because you handled everything with a smile on your face and ended up making the person you were fighting laugh by the end of the argument. Your one of a kind. A gift from god really does sum up what you were. You weren't selfish and you always made people laugh. I love you so much And ill miss you until the day that i die. Your little brother.

Matt,
I am so happy and lucky that I was able to know you! I was able to watch you grow into such an amazing man even though you were only a few years younger then me. I always felt like you knew exactly what you wanted in life and went for it. I never saw you with a frown you always had a smile. It was so nice to get to know you even more this past summer. From the night before your birthday when we had a dance party to all of the bowling monday nights. I will never forget the night at the bowling ally when we talked. Such amazing memories I will never ever forget. Please watch over us up there. I know your up their with an amazing car opening another amazing Paulies Pizza! Keep us all safe and comfort your family! We all love you so much down here and miss you!!!
And to all of the Carrabba's you are such amazing people. You had such an amazing son/brother! He was so proud of everything that each and everyone of you did. Keep your heads up and know that he is up there keeping you safe and would want you to be happy.

Matt,
You were an amazing person. When I first met you I felt like I knew you for years. You showed so much interest on how I worked on your truck and I really appreciated that. You stuck by me the entire time and even helped me work on your dad's car. Instantly I knew I had a friend. I always looked forward to meeting up on our road trips with your brothers. We didn't have a lot of time together but every time we hung out I had a blast. I'm truly going to miss you and I pray your safe in your new home in heaven. God bless you Matt and God bless your family.

Hey Matt. I'm having a really hard time accepting that you're physical presence in our world has been robbed from us so soon. The only answer I find comforting is that you were so perfect that God chose to sit you among the angels in Heaven. I know I will never meet anyone like you again. There isn't a day in my life that I won't think of you, and your striking, heart-melting smile, or those big baby blues, that is what will get us by. The memories that will last us a lifetime. I'll never forget my first day of catholic school with you. I was afraid to walk into the classroom and you grabbed my hand and said, "Kait, I'll always be here for you and I'll take care of you", and with all my heart, I believe that. I wish I could have seen you one more time, and held you before you were gone. Give your family the strength to get through your tragic death by reminding them your with them, everyday. Leave them signs of your presence and love. You have touched and influenced so many peoples' lives within the short time God granted you. This isn't goodbye though. This is just the beginning, for you have left you're temporary home. I can't wait to see you again. I love you Matt & miss you already.
Love, Kait

Hey Matt. I'm having a really hard time accepting the fact that god robbed you from us so early. The only answer I find is that you were so perfect that God decided to sit you among the angels in heaven. There isn't a day that will go by that I won't think of you. That beautiful, heart-melting smile, or your big baby blues, thats what will keep my memory of you alive. I'll never forget our first day of catholic school together....I was afraid to walk into the classroom and you grabbed my hand and said, "kait, i'll always be with you and i'll take care of you", and I truely believe you will. In your short time here on earth you touched and influenced so many lives. Please take care of your family, they need you. Your parents are heart-broken and your siblings are so lost. Give them signs that you are there everyday, and comfort them. This isn't goodbye though. This is just the begining. You are home now Matt. Rest easy sweet angel. Until we meet again
Love, Kait

Today, Saturday the 11th someone came to my door and asked if I knew anything about Matthew Carrabba's death, I did not open the door, due to my home was broken into in the last month, and I knew nothing about it. To Angelo, Carolyn, Andrew, Leah, Angelo & Paul: Our hearts go out to your family and the extended Carrabba & Imbesi families. Although we did not get to know Matthew as the man that he grew into, our memories of him as the shy, beautiful, doe-eyed child living on LI will remain in our hearts always. He touched the lives of everyone he met. We have sponsored this guest book for the next year so that your family & friends can express their feelings & share their memories. We did this for my parents and we still write when we're feeling sad. It is a great comfort to be able to share your grief & your happiness with all those who loved Matthew. May peace shine on all your hearts. We love & miss you all :)
