July 16, 1932 - October 13, 2024
Bluffton, South Carolina - Thomas Allen Phillips, Jr., peacefully passed away at the age of 92 on October 13, 2024 in Bluffton, SC.
Born in Milford, Delaware, in July 1932, he was the son of Katheryn Schaeffer Phillips and Thomas Allen Phillips, Sr. He received his early education in Delaware public schools before attending Goldey-Beacom College and earning degrees in Business and Economics from the University of Maryland, where he was a proud member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Throughout his career in the banking industry, Allen dedicated himself to his work and ultimately retired as President of the Bank of Maryland. He had a passion for golf, a love of cars, and a knack for sharing a good joke with friends,
Allen is survived by his partner of 20 years, Lori Kriwanek; two former wives, Jackie Phillips and Sherri Winter; his sister, Mary Elinor Cubbage; his brother, Burns Phillips; his son; Charles F. "Rick" Phillips (Maureen), grandchildren; Katheryn "Katie" Hartley (Justin), Kelly B. Phillips, Colleen Manzi (Chris), great grandchildren; Poppy, Eleanor, Annabelle Hartley, Charlie Manzi, his other son; Thomas A Phillips, III, Colleen Phillips, Kelly Ryan Phillips, Thomas Allen Phillips, IV, two daughters, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service is being planned to honor his life and legacy,
