Land O' Lakes, Florida - William Preston Lockhart, 51, of Land O' Lakes, born on March 5, 1973 in Monroe, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2024. He was the Director of Investment Services for Lockhart Management Group, and was a church volunteer. He loved his family dearly, never met a stranger, and enjoyed camping, traveling, skiing, golfing, and Porsche cars. He is survived by son, Brayden Lockhart Robison; father, Claude V. Lockhart, M.D. (Gloria); siblings, James Lockhart (Christy), Allison Lockhart, Valerie Welch (David), Claude Lockhart, Jr. (Ellie), and Natalie Lockhart; grandparents, Samuel Marrs (Sally), and Joann Lee; aunts, Lori Perkins (Craig), Dana Myers (Mike), Beth Reagan (Mike), Linda Echols (Tommy); nephews, Fulton Lockhart, and Miles Lockhart; and dog, Hamilton; and many other relatives, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by mother, Margot Marrs Detwiler; grandparents, Jess and Helen Lockhart, and Melvin Lee; and uncle, Jerry Dixon. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 South County Road 39, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Committal to follow at Hopewell Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.T2T.org. Expressions of condolences at www.HopewellFuneral.com.
