Eleanor A. Pierson

PEABODY -- Mrs. Eleanor A. (Savino) Pierson, age 93, of Peabody, formerly of Swampscott, died on Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Brudnick Center for Living. She was the wife of the late Arthur Pierson. A resident of Swampscott for her entire life, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Antonio and Nancy (Brienza) Savino. She attended Swampscott schools and was a graduate of Swampscott High School. For many years Eleanor had worked as a clerk for GE. She was a member of the Swampscott Senior Center and a communicant of Holy Family Church in Lynn. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, card games, Bingo and supporting the state lottery. Eleanor's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and residents of the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody for the care shown to Eleanor during her time there. Eleanor is survived by two brothers, Anthony Savino and his wife Cynthia and William Savino, both of Swampscott; two nieces, Carla Guarnieri of Salem, and Susan Savino Max and her husband Bill of Stoneham; and two grandnieces, Ella and Lilah. She was also the sister of the late Rose Guarnieri and Mary Ann Stacey. Service information: Adhering to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC burial will be private.
