James Magill Obituary
1941 - 2024
Beverly, formerly of Saugus & N. Reading - Mr. James H. Magill, age 83, died on Tuesday, December 17th at Care One Essex Park in Beverly.
Born in Chelsea and raised in Revere, Mr. Magill was the son of the late James M. and Margaret W. (Moran) Magill. James served as a Saugus Police Patrolman for 30 years before his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the William Sutton Masonic Lodge for 50 years, The Saugus Elks, the 3 C Club in Wakefield and the NRA. He was also a USMC Vietnam Veteran.
Mr. Magill is survived by his four children, Pamela J, Magill of W. Brookfield, Jacquelyn Magill- Munroe and her husband Paul, James H. Magill, Jr., and Kenneth Magill all of Wenham; five grandchildren, Erin, Daniel, Margaret, Sean and Robert; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Palladino and her husband Frank.
In lieu of flowers, donations in James's memory may be made to the Elaine Conley Living Trust, 28 Wilmor Rd., Topsfield, MA 01983.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon St., Wakefield on Monday at 10 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
