Swampscott - John Robert Donahue 62, of Swampscott Ma, Passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long hard fought battle with cancer. John was born in Swampscott Ma, on May 11, 1961. John graduated from Swampscott High School Class of 1979, John worked at W.J. Roberts Co. Inc. as a machinist for 36 years. Son of the late Robert (Bullet)Donahue and Lois (Shaw) Donahue. John married the love of his life Linda Bray Donahue, with whom he shared 39years of marriage and had 3 amazing children, Amanda Ann Donahue of Swampscott Ma, Jacob John Donahue and his wife Lotta of Finland, Trevor Robert Donahue of Swampscott Ma. John leaves behind his precious grandsons, Jeremy John Donahue and Lucas Kristian Donahue of Finland John leaves behind his 2 brothers, Michael Donahue and his wife Nancy of New Hampshire, David Donahue and his wife Debbie of South Carolina 2 sisters Patty Bloom and her husband Steve of Lynnfield Ma, Kimberly Donahue Murphy and her husband Steve of Exeter New Hampshire and preceded in death by his brother Mark Donahue. John leaves behind several brother and sister in laws, Donald Bray and his wife Lynne of Swampscott Ma, Steven Bray and his wife Lisa of Winthrop Ma, John Bray and his wife Maria of Lynn Ma, and David Bray of Lynn Ma. John also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. John's favorite thing to do was spend time with his family going to New Hampshire on vacations and flea market shopping with his wife Linda. John will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Service Information: A Celebration of John's Life will be held at a later date. Information to follow.

I will always remember when the four Donahue brothers would play tackle football in the snow, in our yard, on Essex Street. John and Mark against me and Dave. I wish we could all do it one more time. Will miss you, John.
