Hello Dr. Albert Goldstein,

It’s most unfortunate that I cross paths with you under these
circumstances.

I believe we first met in the wee hours of the morning in the 1960's. You were a middle aged Doctor and I was… just born! Yes, I was one of those 8000 – 1000 babies you delivered in your long career. How amazing!

I can’t begin to count the numerous times we met when I was just a young boy. I would arrive with my mother at your Pomona office on weekdays and weekends for you to stitch my wounds from the accidents that only a young boy full of mischief could get himself into.

And then there were the other numerous times in sickness. Somehow
you would always mend me back to health.

Somewhat later in the mid 1980’s we met again. This time for a blood test prior to my marriage. What an interesting consultation that was. My wife and I still laugh today. You had such a great sense of humor!

I had a run of good health for about 10 years for which I never saw you. But sometime in the middle 1990’s we met again. One last consultation before I immigrated to Australia.

And we meet today, one last time. Dr. Goldstein, you will be sadly missed. You really were the greatest doctor who ever lived!

Dr. G. you were the best. I remember sitting with you in the evenings at the hospital in the green room....Telling stories. You would be there just because. No matter what the problem was I could call on you day or night and you'd say, "Meet me at the office." To this day Jennifer remembers the day you took that cyst off my leg and she fainted. She was only 9, but she still remembers what you did and said...We laugh all the time about that one....My whole family will miss you also. We wish you a completed journey to where you can now rest you head. Pomona Valley will never be the same without you...The Karsten's.

Dr. Goldstien was my doctor my entire life, he took care of all my family, he later delivered my son at PVMC. Every year my Mom Bunny made him a birthday cake, when my parents passed away he was there for me, he was one of a kind. he was like a family member, he came to our house when we needed him. years ago when my son cut open his leg on a Sunday ,I called Dr. Goldstein, he said meet me at the office and he stiched my boy up. he charged 10.00, I said ;thats crazy and gave him 25.00, he said oh no this is too much! In later years I always tried to give him an extra 20..00 if I had one, because I knew how many people he helped for free. God Speed Dr. Goldstien, you lived a rich wonderful life and I am honored to say I knew you.
