Marc Perdew Obituary
Marc Perdew died at San Antonio Hospital on September 4th, 2015, in Upland, CA at the age of 61.
Marc is survived by his wife, Carol, children Kari (Chris) Swift and Daniel Perdew, grandchildren Morgan, Donovan, and his brothers John (Hope) Perdew and Scott (Nelly) Perdew. Other survivors include his three step-sons Gary (Lisa) LaClaire, Brian (Michelle) LaClaire, Darren (Holly) LaClaire, and his eight step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Joy Perdew.
Marc was born on October 22nd, 1953 in Upland, CA. He was the fourth generation of Perdews born and raised in the Alta Loma area. Marc graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1977 with a degree in Business and worked in the aerospace industry as a financial analyst.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11am on Sunday, September 20th at Todd Memorial Chapel in Claremont, CA, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marc's life. I loved having such wonderful neighbors in the Perdew family growing up on Hellman Avenue. As a teenager, I was invited to play with and watch over Kari, Tawny and Daniel. I enjoyed many, many visits at the round table in the kitchen, or sitting in the living room getting to enjoy all matters of sharing life and community. I often unexpectedly rang that doorbell on the chance to see a welcoming smile from Joy, Bob, Marc, Spud, Nelly or one of the kids. I remember Marc always had a unmistakable frank contribution to conversation at hand, a great sense of humor and wit, and to this day I appreciate that about him. To all the Perdews who have always felt like an extension of family to me, I send my sincere condolences for your loss of a brother, father, grandfather. Your family has a wonderful legacy and I know we will always hold that connection to yours as dear.

I remember the Perdew family from when our parents got our boxer dogs together. Didn't see Marc until the reunions at the park and we kept in touch on facebook. He is a great guy and will be missed by all. Prayers to his family.

Marc was a great friend. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with him for 12 years at General Dynamics. He could be loud, sensitive, gruff, and quiet all at the same time. He was most proud of his family and their accomplishments. He worked hard at helping people around him. We are all better people for having had Marc be a part of our life.
