ISABEL C. AGUILERA

1930 - 2021

Our beloved mother, Isabel C. Aguilera, 91 years old, of Brawley, CA passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at 1 a.m. due to Parkinsons disease. She was born July 8, 1930 in Sarabia, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Nicolas Cantero and Lucia Alfaro. As a young woman living in Mexico, she worked in a factory making lead toy pistols and bird cages. She later married Daniel S. Aguilera on July 16th. She immigrated to the United States with her husband and eight children in 1966. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, was also well known for her delicious carne de puerco con chile. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her many types of birds, she had a great love for life and enjoyed dancing at reunions. Our mother and father, Daniel Aguilera together owned and operated the Imperial Valley Battery Shop for over 30 years, where they provided quality batteries and outstanding service to the Valley. She was preceded in death by her children, Daniel Aguilera Jr., Luis Aguilera, Silvia Aguilera and Martha Aguilera. Isabel is survived by her son, Jaime Aguilera; daughters, Ana Aguilera, Leticia Rodriguez (Antonio Rodriguez), and Dalila Aguilera; grandchildren, Daniel Angel Marquez, Luis Villalobos, Ramon A. Marquez Jr., Ruby Aguilera, Eduardo Renteria Jr., Lucy Ann Marquez, Armando Marquez, Veronica Martinez, Isabel Villalobos, Silvia M. Marquez, Marcos Renteria, Carlos A. Frando, Javier Renteria, Lauren Aguilera, Amanda Marquez, Sondra Aguilera, Marissa Marquez, and Damian Aguilera; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation for Isabel is scheduled for Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley, CA. Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Claro Ortiz, will commence at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley, CA. Isabel will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery following the Mass.
