My thoughts are with you and your family. Growing up in the Valley, I remember Mr. Maloof's market and my mom stopping by for some specialty item that she couldn't get anywhere else. Mr. Maloof always had a great smile for everyone. Those growing up days in the Valley were very special (the 60's). I am very sorry for your loss.
Best regards,

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was a great friend of my dad and I remember, in my younger years, looking forward to seeing Joe at church on Sundays. He had a special "magic" about him...I think I had a crush on him! My prayers are with you, Yvonne, and your family.

Mr. Maloof was a great guy and a close friend and fellow Elk of my dad. I remember when Joe bought the Valley's very first pizza oven. The first pizza I ever ate was from that oven. Every once in awhile, Joe would give me a free slice after school. We've lost an icon in Joe Maloof.

My condolences to the Maloof family. When I was a kid in El Centro, Tastifoods was located on the 400 block of Main Street. I remember being fascinated with the rock candy on a string! It was a great store with the neatest merchandise.
