ORTEGA

Nov. 6, 1931 - Nov. 16, 2011



Jose Corona, 80, of Calexico, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was born in Cacalotan Rosario, Sinaloa.
Mr. Corona was a Calexico resident for 57 years. He worked in the agriculture field as a foreman and then as a farm labor contractor, DBA: Ortega Packing/ Ortega Produce, and was admired by his customers for having the best WATERMELON business in the Valley.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, at Hems Brothers Mortuaries in Calexico, from 6 to 9 p.m., with rosary being said at 7 p.m. Service will be held Tuesday, November 22, at 10 a.m., also at Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico.
Mr. Corona is survived by his wife, Olivia Rivera Ortega of Calexico; children, Jesus, Jose, Zulma and Leslie all of Calexico; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
