Joe Garcia, 56, of Holtville died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in Escondido as a result of a tragic car accident.
He was born July 22, 1953 in Calexico, CA. He attended St. Joseph's and Holtville High School. He lived most of his adult life in Holtville. He enjoyed visiting the local and San Diego casinos. He loved to spend time with his family in Holtville and his adopted family in Mexicali. He loved sports and was a lifelong Lakers and San Diego Chargers fan. His beautiful smile and laugh will be missed by his family and his many friends.
He was Lenora Y. Garcia's youngest son. He is survived by his beloved wife, Guille of 13 years; brothers, Ruben Franco of Santa Maria, Manuel Franco of Banning, Adolfo and Rico Garcia of Holtville; sisters, Pat Yanez Fregozo of Beaumont, Agnes Franco Torres of Hisparia, Frances Duarte Necochea of Banning and Lupe Garcia of Orlando, FL and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Saint Joseph's Church in Holtville with a rosary from 7 to 8 p.m.
Mass will commence at 9 a.m., Thursday, April 16 at Saint Joseph's Church in Holtville. Burial will immediately follow at Terrace Park Cemetery in Holtville.
