MARGARITA PONCE

Margarita Ponce, 72, of Imperial passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 due to a terminal illness.
She was born on April 25, 1941 in Michoacan, Mexico and married Manuel Ponce on May 9, 1962. The couple moved to Imperial, CA where they raised seven children and resided until her passing. She enjoyed sewing, cooking for all her family and friends and going to the casino.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's of Padua Church in Imperial. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Herminia Ramirez; her husband, Manuel Ponce; and granddaughter, Katelyn Noel Ponce.
Margarita is survived by her sister, Guadalupe Ponce; sons, Manuel Ponce Jr., Francisco "Pancho" Ponce, Jose Ponce, Richard Ponce, and Fernando Ponce; son and daughter-in-law, Jaime and Terri Ponce; daughter, Nina Ponce; 26 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dear Ponce Family,
I was sadden to hear of the passing of your beloved mother and my friend Maggie. Maggie and I knew each other for many years. I will not say goodbye to your mom but I will say "See you soon", because I know that we will meet again in heaven. She is now resting comfortably with your dad by her side.

we got to know margarita really well she was my mother's friend we deeply regret her loss and know that she is now in the arms of God, may the Lord Jesus Christ give the Ponce Family the strenght to continue on knowing that someday we will see her in Heaven. Rest in peace Maggie. The Curiel Family
