MARTIN RIVERA Obituary
Martin Rivera, 93, of Heber, CA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Martin was born in San Francisco, CA and raised in Holtville. He served in the Army-Air Corps during World War II. After his military service he returned to the valley making it his permanent home. He was married to his wonderful wife Angelina for 57 years. He worked for Maggio/Dole Company for many years before his retirement. Martin was a very loving father and doting grandfather. He enjoyed his retirement by spending quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father Geronimo; mother, Isabel; his loving step-father, Kunda Chell; brothers, Jerry, Gilbert, Albert and sister, Elsie. He is survived by his wife Angelina; his sons, Martin Jr. and Issac Abraham; his daughters, Norma (Genaro), Anna (Randy) and Gabrielle (Charles); grandchildren, Bethany, Matthew, Martin Andrew, Issac Jr., Casey, Isabella and Angel; sisters, Lupe, Rosie (John), Ruby and Deena (Kent); and many loving nephews and nieces. Services will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro, CA. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.
