My deepest condolences to the family. Verna was such a sweet person, always interested in others, always ready with a listening ear. She was sunshine! We splashed around the pool together & talked about everything for many hours & the old water aerobics crew will miss her greatly!

Verna was an amazing art teacher. As a colleague, we shared students and often saw their artwork in progress. I loved hearing our kids say that she helped them see the world in a different way, that she brought out the best of their artistic ability, and that, while a "hard teacher", she always made sure that her students grew in their understanding of art and felt safe to explore their talent under her tutelage.
Verna's most important job was her family. Her two sons are amazing human beings--smart, witty, and caring. I loved teaching them.
Verna left the world a better place.

So very sorry to hear about Verna's passing. She was an incredible woman, so full of life, very talented and fun to be around. I loved working with her at SHS, and enjoyed our conversations...her laughter was truly contagious. Rest in peace Ms. Verna Hall, you made an impression on many.

I am so sorry to hear about Ms. Hall's passing. What a great Lady she was. First knew her when I was a student at Calipatria HS and later worked with her as one of her Teachers Aide at Calipatria. Boy did she have alot of energy! Never a dull moment. Such talent she had and shared with hundreds of her students which brought her so much joy. I will never forget her fun and quirky ways. Prayers of comfort and peace for your family.

I will miss you dear friend
Verna was my friend, my colleague for 20 years at Calipatria High School, my neighbor for many of those years. She was an extraordinary teacher in any area she was assigned.... In addition to ART, she taught reading, math, and guided our A.S.B. leaders....and she did all that with inspiration, joy, passion, and
insightfulness....students enjoyed her projects and humor.
She always had a smile and ready laugh to brighten the moment.
She loved her boys beyond words
and adored her three grand babies! They were often the main part of our conversations. That
and BASEBALL.....she a Padres fan and me a Dodger fanatic made for some spirited banter!
I will miss her every day and remember her forever.
