James Holland Dunivan

James Holland Dunivan, age 82, passed away peacefully at Lexington Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Lexington, TN.

He was born July 12, 1930 to Bill and Lola Warren Dunivan in Lexington, TN. He married Betty Carolyn McAdams on November 5, 1949 in Corinth, MS. As a young man, he worked for United Grocery in Lexington. He moved to Illinois in 1955 and worked for Fisher Body for 11 years. James moved his family back to Lexington, TN in 1966 where he worked for Century Electric for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He loved to fish, watch the Cardinals play baseball, and help his son-in-law farm. When he was able, he enjoyed being active at First Baptist Church, where he was a member. He loved his family very much.

Survivors include his wife Betty of 63 years; two sons, Greg (Debbie) Dunivan of Jackson, TN and Mark (Celeste) Dunivan of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Debbie Jones of Memphis, TN and Delores (Gary) Williams of Lexington, TN; two brothers, Carl and Joe Dunivan, and two sisters, June Henry and Dorothy McAdams, all of Lexington, TN; 9 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Brenda Casey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lola Warren Dunivan; grandson, Brian Scott "Bub" Williams; 5 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 15th from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Pafford Funeral Home and Sunday, June 16th from 10 a.m. till time of service.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will follow at Henderson County Memory Gardens.

Memorial donations can be made to charity of your choice.
