Keith Shaver Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Keith B. Shaver" 77" will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday" May 4" 2007 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. William Boyer officiating. Mr. Shaver died April 30" 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Pomp" KY" son of the late Burley and Clara Adkins Shaver" moving to Illinois with his parents at an early age and was educated in the Mooseheart" IL schools. Mr. Shaver had made his home in Beech Bluff for the past 16 years. He attended Beech Bluff Baptist Church. Mr. Shaver was retired from Phoenix Life Insurance Company with 26 years service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bativia" IL and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Keith was an avid sportsman" enjoying his love of hunting" fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by a daughter" Connie Rice in 1986. Survivors include his wife" Mrs. Beverly Holmes Shaver of Beech Bluff" TN to whom he was married on October 2" 1952; a daughter" Bonnie Trosky and husband" Donald of Jackson" TN; two sons" David Shaver and wife Barbara of Schamburg" IL" and Raymond Shaver and wife Mary of Jackson" TN; nine beloved grandchildren" Tiffany Woodard" Christina Chavira" Brandon Reyes" Jessica Shaver" Julia Shaver" Brittney Shaver" Bridget Shaver" Raymond Shaver" II and Brianna Shaver; four beloved great-grandchildren" Kaylie Woodard" Brant Reyes" Mia Woodard and Aubrey Chavira; four sisters" Bernice McGowen" Betty Enger" Gay Brown and Shirley Langeland; a brother" R.C. Shaver. The family requests memorials be directed to the Mooseheart Child City" 155 South International Drive" Mooseheart" IL 60539. Attention: Moose Charities.
