Barbara Edgell Obituary
Barbara (Miller) Edgell, 81, of Lafayette, passed away at home on Friday, August 8, 2014. Born January 12, 1933 in Wadena, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Thelma (Lewellyn) Miller. Barbara graduated from Battle Ground High School and attended Manchester College.
She was an administrative assistant at Purdue University for over 13 years and prior to that she worked for Basney Ford. She was a member of the Purdue University Woman's Club, John Purdue Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Tuesday Bridge Club, and loved traveling and spending time with family.
Surviving are her children, Gregory Edgell (wife, Finetta) of South Carolina, Timothy Edgell of Ft. Wayne, Terry Edgell (wife, Kamie), Linda Newman (husband, Rick), and Lori Raineri, all of Lafayette, a brother Kenneth Miller (wife, Kathleen) of Battle Ground, 14 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Memorial visitation on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Hippensteel Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor Melissa Millis officiating. Interment will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
