Chantal Lynn Richardson

26, of Lafayette, passed away August 8, 2017. Chantal was born to Candice of and Bruce Herbst in Lafayette on April 23, 1991.

Chantal was a certified CNA, Childhood Development Associate and was working on her degree for Early Childhood Development from Ivy Tech. She married the love of her life, Jacob on October 12, 2013 in Boswell, Indiana and later having two beautiful daughters. Chantal loved family get togethers, festivals, flea markets, and writing poetry.

Chantal is survived by her husband, Jacob; daughters, Sophia (4), Allison (2); parents, Bruce of Fowler and Candice of Otterbein Herbst; father and mother in law, Greg and Jeannie Richardson of Lafayette; brothers, Chad (Jennifer) Herbst of Lafayette, Charlie Herbst of Cocoa Beach, FL, Chet (Carrie) Herbst of Lafayette, Chip Herbst of Lafayette; grandmother, Leona Meeks of Lafayette; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Chantal is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jane and Theodore Zorn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, 1 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church, Lafayette with calling starting at 10 a.m. until time of service.

The family would like to give a special appreciation to Indiana Donor Network for their support throughout the process.
