Daniel Dexter Obituary
Dan Dexter passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Dan was born March 20, 1954 to Ronald and Eleanor Dexter of Lafayette. Dan was a loving Son, Father, Brother, Pappy, and Friend who lived every day of his life to the fullest and exactly as he wanted. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his Brothers and the many friends who knew him as "Dex". After attending Jefferson High School, Dan spent much of career employed with the City of Lafayette Waste Water Treatment Department.
Surviving with his parents are a daughter Dani Jo Leuck (husband, Jaret) of Lafayette, and Crystal Cornell (husband, Adam) of Battle Ground. Also surviving are brothers Mark Dexter (wife, Shellie) of Lafayette, Jeff Dexter of Lafayette, Mike Dexter (wife, Pam) of Battle Ground, and Joe Dexter (wife, Angie) of West Lafayette. Dan's grandchildren always brought a smile to his face, Zeke and Cale Leuck, Isabella and Alex Julian. Dan is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and his companion Diane Webb.
Dan will be missed and remembered fondly by many. His mischievous smile, his "Dexter" charm, and infectious laugh will live with everyone he touched. Dan peacefully joined his long-time love Cindy, as beautifully connected in death as they were in live.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home with the service to follow at 6 p.m. Father Dan Gartland officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to ABATE of Indiana, P.O. Box 665, Bargersville, IN 46106. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care. As I think of all the Great Memories in my life that involve Dan, I realize how incomplete my life would be without Him as my Friend. I Love you Brother! I'm so glad our last conversation involved Prayer, and the Resurrection.
