Eddie Scott Condreay

Eddie Scott Condreay, 77, of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, March 16 at IU Hospital in Lafayette.

He was born January 12, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to the late Edward and Shirley Dowdy Condreay. Scott grew up surrounded by his many relatives in Colorado and Wyoming.

On November 20, 1993, he married Louanne Watson in the Wolcott Christian Church; she survives.

Scott proudly served in the United States Army, then returned to Colorado to study Building Construction Management where he completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Colorado State University. While in Colorado, he worked in the commercial construction industry, designed and build custom homes, then taught Building Construction Management at his alma mater.

While at Purdue University, Scott taught Building Construction Management. His Building Construction Management Team, won various awards including the 1997 National competition championship while Scott served as its faculty advisor. Later he worked in the office of facilities planning, from which he retired.

As a member of Covenant Church, Scott was a founding member of Helping Hands Ministry. He was passionate about the ministry where he shared his gifts and talents. Scott was known for being kind and giving while demonstrating the love of Jesus with the Lafayette community and the Covenant Church family.

Surviving with his wife are his father-in-law, Charles W. Watson, and relatives across the country. Scott leaves behind his Helping Hands Ministry Team and his Covenant Church family who he deeply loved.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Covenant Church in West Lafayette on Tuesday, March, 23 at 2 PM with Pastor Rob Eyman officiating. Friends will be greeted at Covenant Church following the service. The family kindly requests all COVID protocols and mask wearing be observed.

Burial will take place prior to Scott's celebration of life service at 11 am EST at Remington Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Covenant Church, Matrix LifeCare or Covenant Church for the Michael Eyman Fund.

Scott´s generosity and caring for others reached far beyond Covenant church. Scott was such a godly man who always thought of others, and put others first before himself. God truly got the best up in heaven now.
