Michael Dunk Obituary
Michael A. Dunk, 60, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at his residence. Michael was born on march 8, 1953, in Monitor, IN to Billie Latshaw Dunk of Crete, IL and the late Ernest Dunk. Michael graduated from Harrison High School in 1972. He married Janet Schultz on May 23, 1987, in Lafayette and she survives. Before retiring, he was an over the road and local truck driver, and prior to that he worked for Landis & Gyr for over 15 years.
Surviving are three sons; Nathan (April) Dunk, Joshua Dunk, and Eric Dunk, and two daughters, Rachael (Curtis) Hart, and Iva (Peter) Strasser, and a grandson who whas been raised in their home, Jayden Dunk. Also surviving are four sisters, Marlene (Joe) Bowyer, Ann (Mark) Kietzman, Lois (Jack) Cohen, and Ruth (Dave) Schultz, one brother Donnie Meyers, 15 grandchildren, and several nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria and Rhonda.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, with visitation one half hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care. Simplicity Funeral Care entrusted with arrangements. Share memories and condolences at www.simplicity-funeralcare.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. This picture is always the way I remember him. I think of all the reunions we had at Billie's & Ernie's, and all the "get togethers" at Grandma & Grandpa's....So many good memories.

He was the greatest dad and friend..those that knew him know he was a family man and tried to make a friend where ever he went. He would also do everything possible to help if he could. I love you forever dad and im lucky to be your daughter.
