Wilma Guntharp Obituary

Wilma Jean Guntharp, 83 of Hoxie passed from this life Wednesday, July 9, 2025, peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Wilma was born to the late Felix and Claudia Maxie Golden on October 2, 1942. She grew up in the Arbor Grove Community. She was a 1961 graduate of Hoxie High School. Wilma was united in marriage to Garland Guntharp on August 30, 1963. She was a former seamstress for Lawrence Manufacturing and retired from Skil. Wilma was a member of United Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death three brothers, Bob Golden, Felix Golden Jr, and Howard Golden; and two sisters, Nina Golden and Kathleen Warnick. Survivors include her husband, Garland of the home; one daughter, Teressa (Brian) Hart of Hoxie; one son, Dennis (Lynn) Guntharp of Walnut Ridge; four grandchildren, Garrett (Britney) Hart of McCroy, Spencer (Brandy) Hart of Bono, and Conner Guntharp and Abby Claire Guntharp both of Walnut Ridge; three great grandchildren, Jackson, Jase, and Jayden Hart; four sisters, Ruth Arnn of Batesville, Ann Jackson of Lonoke, Betty Sue Dunham of Texas, and Carolyn Allen of Black Rock; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 2 PM in the Bryan Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Jake Hickman, Logan Russell, Chad Allen, Garrett Hart, Spencer Hart, Conner Guntharp. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of service.
