Billy James Obituary

WALNUT RIDGE - Billy Ray James, 83, of Walnut Ridge passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Five Rivers Medical Center. Billy Ray was born Dec. 4, 1940, in Fender to Joe W. and Ruth Caffrey James.

Billy Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jon David James, and sisters, Joann Caldwell and Patsy Graham.

Billy Ray is survived by his wife, Edwina, of the home; daughter, Donna (Artie Shinn) James of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Chloe (Hayden Andrews) James of Walnut Ridge, Cameron James of Little Rock and Ashley Garrison of Pocahontas; and brother, Joe David (Cindy) James of Milan, Tenn.

All services will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. today, Jan. 26, with the funeral service immediately following. Gerald Fears will officiate. Billy Ray will be laid to rest in Randolph Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Caffrey, Justin McCuiston, Bob Lynch, Danny Ward, Mike James and Shane Wells.

Honorary pallbearers will include Mike Ellis, Blake Bennett, Kent Bennett, Rob Roberts, Kevin Foster, Joey Lemmons, Glen Hausman, Doug Cox, Larry Caffrey, Mike Caldwell and Ricky Caldwell.
