JONESBORO - Darrell Wayne Powers, 58, of Jonesboro, formerly of Bono, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at his home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1963, in Jonesboro. Darrell worked for more than 28 years as a production supervisor for Angelo's Manufacturing.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, beer, snuff, watching TV and collecting things.
Most of all he loved his family, friends and dogs.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Powers, and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his fiancée, Lou Ann Murphree of the home; two sons, Kevin Powers and Brandon Powers, both of Jonesboro; two daughters, Haley Renee (Joey) Hamilton of Jonesboro and Janith Nicole Lucy of Bono; two brothers, Bobby (Theresa) Powers of Bono and Jerry (Penny) Powers of Jonesboro; a sister, Lelonnah (Lee) Mullins of Jonesboro; and five grandchildren, Lexi Marie Hamilton, Adaleigh Rae Dunkin, Liam Nicholai Dunkin, Alexandor Kristian Hindmarsh and E.J. Hamilton, all of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today, Feb. 2, in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jim Larkins officiating. Burial will follow in Lorado Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service.
