WALNUT RIDGE - Pamela Jane Moody, 75, of Walnut Ridge, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Pam was born Oct. 15, 1948, in Jonesboro, to Cleo and Louella Courtney Moody.
She graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1966 and attended Arkansas State University. Pam retired from Entergy after 35 years of dedicated service to the company and its customers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was a dedicated and loving daughter, an incredible sister, a doting aunt and a loyal friend. She loved golfing and sharing time with family and friends. She had a kind heart, generous and caring spirit and devotion to others.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Judge Cleo Moody, and her mother, Louella Courtney Moody.
She is survived by her sister, Vicki Moody Thomas and brother-in-law, Steve Thomas of Montgomery, Texas, and niece, Dr. Courtney Thomas (Ethan) of Yardley, Pa.
A visitation was held at 10 a.m. Monday in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Walnut Ridge. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at the church, with the Rev, Jeremy Hopper officiating. Burial was in Oak Forrest Cemetery at Black Rock, under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
The family would like to express its deepest appreciation to the staff at Lawrence Hall, Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Legacy Hospice for the loving care they provided Pam.
